Default Fry's English Delight

I've just heard the 1st of 3 radio programmes presented by Stephen Fry: BBC - Radio 4 - Fry's English Delight . Later today there'll be a link to a recording on that web page (though it's not there yet). The first was on metaphor - well worth a listen.

Incidentally, the title is a reference to a kind of chocolate bar - Fry's Turkish Delight.

There was a wonderful stand-off between Stephen Fry and Gyles Brandreth n QI the other night - both full of the weirdest snippets of information.

Incidentally, in this week's programme Fry mentions the Editor of the Oxford Dictionary of Quotations, Elizabeth Knowles. In case anyone was wondering, I'm no relation. I was mentioned in the foreword to the third edition (as a jack-of-all-trades), but the link in our names is entirely coincidental.
