The 'I have recommended to Ms B.' sentence makes no sense and/or is incomplete. What exactly did you recommend to Ms B?
"Last week we went to a department store and bought a bunch of junk."

I guess you wanted to say 'I have recommended it to Ms. B', not 'I have recommended to Ms. B'
