Another of my niggling questions. I am building a document and in some cases I need to use hyphenated words in titles. In doing so, what is the correct use of capitalisation of the hyphenated words.
Should the title be written as:
1.x In-scope components
or
1.x In-Scope components
Thanks in advance to those who help answer my niggling little question.
It depends on house style. When I worked for OUP it was <Cap>...<-l/c.>.., and when I worked for DEC it was <Cap>...-<Cap>...; DEC may have preferred <Cap>...-<Cap>..., because it may be an American usage, but I don't know. I just know that people have strong feelings for both of them - check with your editor.

Bobk,
Having read the reply, it seems like it is one of those cases where it is a choice thing rather than a hard and fast rule. Being in Australia we are educated to use the 'Queen's English' so I try to be true to the way I was taught.
Thanks for your time to reply.
