Comely
Dear all,
I would like to do a play on words with the terms COMELY and IT (=Italy)... I was thinking of something as COMELitY or COMELit... Do you think they are hard to pronounce? which one in your opinion could be effective?
Thank you very much

What do you mean by COMELY? Is it a woman who is attractive in appearance? If that's so, I think COMELitY is better. Sound pretty cute...

Do you think COMELitY is hard to pronounce? because my english teacher told me it is quite difficult to pronounce and I like it...

I agree. COMELY has only two syllables (as in
come, with
-ly added);and /kʌmlɪt/ has very little hint of "Italy"; /kʌmǝlɪt/ does, but it doesn't have much hint of "comely".

Well, thanks for the compliment
How about creating a poll here, so people can vote which one is better...
But for me, as I'd mentioned before, COMELitY sound pretty cute.

A new thread in this forum wouldn't do much good, unless someone happens to be a web-designer, or at least someone who knows how to do these things (I don't). But if you have a web-site, or are developing one, ask your designer - who will (or should) know. There are various ways of getting a web-site to make a noise, and s/he should be able to select the most appropriate

Create a new poll? I think I did once but somehow I forgot how...
You have to look carefully at the upper part of the thread, and I think it supposed to have 'create a new poll' somewhere up there...
I'll try to look again and will let you know later...
