Default Online Pronunciation Gauge

Does anyone know of a free Online Pronunciation Gage or Meter. I have seen and tried one, maybe with Rosetta Stone, but I am looking for a free one I can use online. The learner speaks into the microphone on the computer, and a visual meter indicates how well the word was pronounced.

Thank you

I imagine that it would be more likely to be a gimmick than something practical. It would be a very difficult thing to do well; you'd need vast databases of sounds to compare things with and it would be very tricky to judge well- what about words like 'bath' with different pronunciations, or regional accents or words that have different pronunciations like 'the'? Great progress is being made with voice technology but it's probably a bit early for an effective freeware pronunciation meter.

You can search on google for pronunciation softwares. You may find seome demo versions. Full versions need to be purchased. And yes in these softwares, you can hear to the native pronunciation of the word and then with the record option, you can record your voice and an analyser provides you the information how accurate was your pronunciation and where perhaps you went wrong.

Yes I have downloaded and tested the demo version of this software (eyespeak). It has its limitations but is ok. The demo version though has limited words to practice.

But it should help. Shouldn't it? You may buy it if you want a complete version. Well, for pronunciations (only) you can also try the following links.
