    I thought you were right, but I confirmed it too. It's "barely managing", also "making something last by being frugal".

    Sorry, yes that's what I meant when I wrote you were right. I specifically looked it up to be sure.
    These were the meaning in the dictionary: "barely managing", "making something last by being frugal".

    Now students can select Correct answer: It simply means : to have just enough money to live or to continue a business With extra income from private sponsorship, the club is just about managing to keep its head above water.
