the same idiom is said like "Kol gibi girdi" in Turkish :)))
It is over slang (ı m not sure this expression is true or not)
because it is approximately a swearing

The word 'kol' in the Turkish slang "kol gibi girdi" has nothing to do with the word 'arm' in "costs an arm and a leg", though. :)

very expensive would be more like a 'left kidney' than just an arm and a leg
