Is this the same as "He didn't blink when they told him ......."?He didn't bat an eye when they told him he had lost the contract.
No reaction at all- no visible signs of being affected.
He did not bat an eye/eyelid when he the court declared him guilty of an array of charges.
After a bit of searching I think I may assume that "He didn't bat an eye" is synonyme for "He didn't blink" but which one is most common?
