Question regarding active and passive voice

I have a question about the active and passive voice. I know the main difference between the active and passive voice has to do with the action of the subject. With the active voice, the subject of the sentence performs the action expressed in the verb e.g. The dog (subject) bit (performed action) the boy. With the passive voice, the subject is acted upon. He or she receives the action expressed in the verb rather than performing the action expressed in the verb. For example, The boy (subject receiving action) was bit by the dog (expressing action).

I am confused by these two sentences.

I am reminded of watching a movie or TV by watching a framed, mobile world through a car's windshield.

I is the subject here. What action is the subject performing? Or what action is the subject receiving?

Would this sentence make it active. Watching a framed, mobile world through a car's windshield reminds me of watching a movie or TV.

What is the action in that sentence? I need help distinguishing which sentence is active and which is passive, and why they are the way they are.

The verb is "reminded."

Here are two other examples:
I reminded you to take your allergy medicine.
You were reminded to take your allergy medicine (so it's not my fault you sneezed all through dinner).

Seeing those dresses in the closet reminded me of when the girls still liked to wear matching clothes.
I was reminded of when the girls still liked to wear matching clothes (by the sight of those dresses in the closet).
