Is this word an exocentric compound or an endocentric compound?

Where did you come across that terminology? To a native speaker who just knows that '-centric' refers to a central point, it seems meaningless (which is not to say that some academic [feathering his own nest by inventing complex terminology that only other specialists will understand] hasn't coined it!)
