Good Evening All
I just want to know some books they teach in master degree in linguistics. Please, just type the title of a book(s) you have been taught in Master degree.
Thanks in advance.
On mine (in the UK), we had reading lists, but they didn't teach individual books.
HI. May be you should give us the specialty in which you are doing your MA.If you ever happened to be doing sociolinguistics hereare some titles:
1- thahandbook of linguistics
2-the handbook of sociolinguistics
2-the handbook of language variation and change.
4- languages in contact
5-the bilingualism reader
6-Sociolinguistics, methods and applications
7-The cambrigde companion to sociolinguistics
Good luck
@ coolheaded. Try googling some masters courses in linguistics and look through the reading lists.
@ alisidamoor. Please use capital letters appropriately. If you are mentioning a book, please give the name of the authors, the name of the publishers, and the date (and place) of publication:
Aarts, Bas and McMahon, April (2006) The Handbook of English Linguistics, London: Blackwell.
You don't necessarily have to set it out like that, unless you are citing it in an article, but all the information needs to be there.
ps. welcome to the forum, alisadamoor.![]()
Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.
