I wrote an interesting paper for a sociolinguistics class concerning teachers' prejudging speakers of non-standard dialects as inferior students. There is very fascinating research on this subject.

Hi,
Thank you for your responses but I don't know how can I do it. the professor said "write about an interesting topic related to the sociolinguistics, and your paper term should not exceed more than 15 pages." I really don't know what to write about . Your topics Mr.Mykwyner and Mr.Tdol are very interesting, but I don't know how to start and where can i find information about them. Can you help me here? I will be grateful..

Sociolinguistics is a huge field, so the first thing to do is to start narrowing it down a bit. Which areas of the course interested you the most?

If you want to look at gender, have you read some Deborah Tannen?
