Divide the following sntences into functional contituents. Write down and label each functional constituent on a separate line.

(a) The keepers fromthe zoo down the road should be here soon.

(b) Yesterday I showed them the piglets from the farm.

In keeping with our Editor's advice, you will need to look into what functional constituents are and how they are ordered in English. From Syntax II: Phrases and Function:
English main (declarative clauses) generally display the following order of functional constituents:

(Adjunct) – Subject – Verb – Indirect Object – Direct Object – (Adjunct)

(Adjuncts occur variably clause-initially or clause-finally)
