 Linguists' job
Hi teachers,
I'm wondering about the linguist' job.
I know that linguists anaylze the grammatical system of a language and explain that to the native speakers.
I'm also wondering about the language that linguists study and analyze.
I read a book that linguists analyze a new language with the help of the native speakers. But what about their own language? Can they describe their language, too? And if they study their language, can they use their own examples in their research?
And by the way, are the teachers here linguists? |
