Re: Sad News: Anglika
So sorry to hear that Anglika has passed away, I appreciated her very much.
Away with us she's going,
The solemn-eyed:
She'll hear no more the lowing
Of the calves on the warm hillside
Or the kettle on the hob
Sing peace into her breast,
Or see the brown mice bob
Round and round the oatmeal chest.
For she comes, the human child,
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than she can understand.
W. B. Yeats (amended)

Re: Sad News: Anglika
I will never forget many of the wonderful lessons Anglika has taught us.
And still I am sure many more will continue learning real English by reading many of her posts here.
May she rest in peace.

Re: Sad News: Anglika
It is really hard to find the correct words to say after such a loss. I believe that she'll always be missed and be remembered on these forums.
May she rest in peace.

Re: Sad News: Anglika
Dear Red5:
Could I have a picture of Anglika if you have? I will quite appreciate if you can send it to my email address.
I came to this thread to read the announcement again and again. Still now, I cannot believe my eyes about the news I read. It is so painful that she left us all of a sudden.
I'd like to know what this nice and kind lady looked like. Thank you!
Best regards!

Re: Sad News: Anglika
RIP. Her brief 'custodianship' of this forum will stay with us for many years - UsingEnglish.com ESL Forum - Statistics. Her name will stay up there in the top 5 posters for years. She joined after I did, and posted well over twice as many times - nearly 20,000 posts; thanked more than 5,000 times .... I hope her family gets to know how many thousands of appreciative students, colleagues and friends she had here.
