Hi, all.
I'm reading a novel, get to this phrase and curious about the exact meaning. Is it an idiom or can I just interpret this phrase as 'trying to do something impossible"?
While I’m standing there, debating on whether or not to fall flat on my face right here, right now, orattempt the impossible, the back door opens and out steps Grandpa, a coffee cup in his hand. Cool. Grandpa’s not dead.
Thanks for your help!
