I am currently pursuing a diploma in TESOL course, and so far I've been able to come up with some pretty good lesson plans.

What I was wondering is, how would you (as in fellow teachers) teach adverbs of frequency?

I have no idea and don't know where or how to go about doing that!

Thanks!

The simple rule for adverbs of frequency (AOF) is to place before all verbs, except after am, is, are, was, were and between two word verbs, except the AOF, "sometimes" can be placed at the beginning of the statement, at the end of the statement or in its place as noted previously.

For meaning, I'd sometimes get students to place the words on a line, with never at one end and always at the other.

never, hardly ever/rarely/seldom, occasionally, sometimes, frequently/often. always.

Thanks guys, but I meant more of what type of methodology used to teach the students?

Like what sorta theme goes well with adverbs of frequency?

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Sincerely,
Caleb

An obvious starter theme is daily activities.

p. As a teacher of English, and as a user of this forum, you should write 'sort of' rather than 'sorta'.

YES I KNOW, but I'm not an English teacher yet, per se.

Anyway, "daily activities" can encompass anything - mind elaborating?

p.s. It was a mistake I overlooked. Can't fault people for genuine mistakes now, can we?

There's an activity here for practicing adverbs of frequency.

Adverb Cards

Essentially you get the class to frame the right question to the right student so they can get rid of their adverbs of frequency.
