Hello moniza

My choice is (A) O o o = comf'ta'ble.

Choice (D) o o O o produces a non-English sounding word as the third syllable in com'for'ta'ble is pronounced with a reduced vowel and reduced vowels do not carry primary stress.

Note that, there are two ways to pronounce comfortable:

[1] comf-ta-ble <3 syllables>
[2] com-fr-ta-ble <4 syllables>

Listen here.

I thought the answer was (D) cos com.for.TA.ble, the stress was on TA....the 3rd syllable...

But according to Longman Pronunciation Dictionary, the stress is on the 1st syllable Com,so the Answer is (A)

comfortab|le ˈkʌm p ft əb | ə l ˈkʌm p f ət əb | ə l ǁ - ə rb-, ˈkʌm p f ə əb | ə l, ˈə r - comfortab|ly li comfortab|ness nəs nɪs ˌ comfortably ˈ off
