Unhappy Asorbent..Please help...

Hello,

Whenever I have heard or said the word ABSORBENT,
I have always pronounced S as Z, and R is also pronounced in it... But according to the phonetic symbols my way of pronouncing it, is wrong... Am I right????? Or is it just a difference of Englishes?????

= əbˈzôrbənt

I used to pronounced it in the same way, but the phonetic symbols in my book have confused me... According to them, its pronounced as ABSOBENT, S as in See

Well, /b/ is voiced, so is any vowel. You can expect voiced /z/ since it is sandwiched between b and o.
