How to pronounce "Enjoy"?
Hi All,
I was wondering how to pronounce "Enjoy", in my country most of people would say "En" "joy", but I heard some English Expert, they say the correct pronunciation of "Enjoy" is "In" "joy". Could anybody help me on this? Any difference between American English and British English when they pronounce "Enjoy"? Thanks a lot!
Regards,
William

Re: How to pronounce "Enjoy"?
According to Longman Pronunciation Dictionary, both are correct. However, /in/ is the most commonly heard pronunciation
ɪn ˈdʒɔɪ en-, ən-en-ən-ɪndʒɔɪɪnˈdʒɔɪ

Re: How to pronounce "Enjoy"?
/en.dʒɔɪ/ is more often heard here. But the reality is that most native speakers simplify all but the most important vowels down to something in between /ə/ and /ɪ/; it's the laziest possible vowel, with the mouth completely relaxed. It sounds like /ə/ or /ɪ/, depending on what the mouth is pronouncing immediately before and after the "lazy" vowel.
