    It depends on what I was saying. It's "double U".
    But I don't say that if I'm giving someone a URL. I say "dubyə dubyə dubyə dot..." where ə is the neutral vowel schwa.

    If you want to transcribe it like that. He certainly doesn't pronounce an /l/. But the second syllable sounds to me like [bʊ] rather than [bi].

    I worked at a place where we used to support many internet applications, one of which was Company.com. We used to say "dub dub dub", since that word www was heavily used by folks there.
