| I always hear native speakers say "you better" when I'm watching movies / TVs....I know the correct one is "you'd better"....I am not sure whether it is my listening problem or not.....they drop the "d" sound....please advise! Thanks. Regards, William |

| For people speaking carefully, the "d" is there, but it gets "swallowed" in fast speech. Make sure you keep it in your writing.

| But sometimes I watch the subtitle of movies, they only show "you better....", there is no "d"....I wonder if they really don't say "d" sometimes....just interesting to know that |
