lord and laud dear friends...
I tend to use RP, this book says 'lord' has the same sound as 'laud' in RP.
I believe it is not so. Very close, but not exactly the same.
Do you agree?

Teacher Re: lord and laud According to Longman Pronunciation Dictionary, the two words are pronounced the same /lɔːd/. They're homophones.
