Hi All,
Please click and listen the following audio, I'd like to know what kind of accent does the storyteller have? American Standard or others? Thanks.

Yes, but it's a little flat. It has had all traces of any regional variation removed so that it sounds artificial - like an old-fashioned radio announcer.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
On the contrary, it's perfect -- until you develop your own natural style of speaking.
I think I also found his lack of any sort of natural rhythm a bit odd too. His speech seemed so measured - everything got an equal beat.
Do you know that on Dictionary and Thesaurus - Merriam-Webster Online there is a little red speaker symbol that will pronounce words for you?

Our American English is almost always flat. Watch the BBC for a day and you'll agree.
Actually I am not sure what "flat" is, is that mean smooth, without raised and not sloping or curving? If so, CNN news is not "flat", the anchors speak like singing a song...with curving.....By the way, the following link is BBC news podcast, I listen it everyday, everyone can hear it to compare...
