Default Gu

This sound file aims at "I want you know what I say", not "Have I spoken AmE well?" Because the first need for the speaker is to communicate or get information, it needs time to improve his pronunciation.

Has the file sounded clearly?

I got it (Guardian unlimited), but a friend here, not an ESL teacher, didn't.

Default Thank you

You got the picture.

I wonder how many times have you taken before clearly understanding what it sounded?

I got it first time, if I remember correctly. Who's the intended audience? That could make a difference- if they have less experience of NNES accents, they might have more difficulty. In connected discourse, there are often fewer problems, but in very short texts, it can be really difficult. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have got the 'Graner got busted one' without the title.

Default Hmm, thank you a lot.

Let's see how to properly rip off the unpleasant accent from the speaker.

In Korea, they are trying tongue surgery, which sounds unpleasant.

Default Aha

There is no way the speaker would like to receive a tongue surgery.

Is there any evidence that it works?
