Default period or comma

I read this on the net today:

"While I wholeheartedly agree about seeing something new and creative, and that Hollywood appears to have run out of original ideas in a mere 80-90 years of making films. I would much rather see something creative and see them stop with the countless sequels and remakes; however,... "

I think a comma rather than a period should be placed between "...80-90 years of making films" and "I would much rather see... ". Am I right? Thanks.

"While I wholeheartedly agree about [that], and [that], I would much rather see something creative and see them stop with the countless sequels and remakes; however,... "
