How do you pronunciate "Geuka"?
It is from Amiri Geuka Farris.
Thank you.
Hey, I would help you but I can't.
I don't even who Amiri Geuka Farris is. He appears to be a artist, doesn't he?
Please wait for more replies patiently!
[PS]: If that was a English name, I think the pronunciation could be either /'Gouka/, 'GU(the short u sound)ka, or 'Gu:(the long u sound) ka.
I apologize if I'm wrong! To be precise, ASK him!![]()

There are many possibilities: /u:/, /ʊ/, /ju:/, /jʊ/, /eu:/, /eʊ/, /eɪu:/, /eɪʊ/...and using only English phonemes may not be appropriate anyway. I agree that the only way is to ask the person.

Ironically enough, his first name, Amiri, actually means “prince” or “princely,” giving him something in common with another music superstar altogether. And yet the name he employs on stage as a performance artist is his middle name, Geuka (pronounced: Jay-yoo-kah) which is Swahili for re-birth.
