    Default Pronunciation of 'stance'

Is 'stance' pronounced as sta:ns or staens? Is one of them the American pronunciation and the other British pronunciation? If so, which is the American version and which is the British one?

    Thanks.

You'll hear both in BrE- it's a regional variation. I am not sure about AmE.
