    Dear friends...

    this dialogue is a bit funny and also dramatic.

    I am having a hard time identifying where these people are from. It doesn't sound like American or England to me.

    What do you think?

    They are Americans using fake accents for a cheap TV comedy, like MadTV, or something similar. (My best guess).
    For one thing, they say /raɪɾɚ/ rather than /raɪtə/ for ‘writer’.
