British: short e (how?)
Hi,
I am getting problems with short e like in words get or bet. This must be British pronounciation. I know how to say it in American but I lack knowledge how to form mouth and tounge for obtaining British accent.
Can you please give me a hint what to do with my tought especially, when saying short e? thanks!

Re: British: short e (how?)
Some AmE vowels and diphthongs are rather different from those in BrE, but I have always found the standard AmE vowel in get and bed to be almost identical to its BrE counterpart.

Re: British: short e (how?)
My teacher has told me, to obtain British sound you must lift your tongue a little bit higher (in the middle of mouth), not to touch lower teeth (I guess in American version, we ought to touch teeth). Well, not sure it is correct though.
Anyway, much obliged for the help.
