I couldn't find transcription for this one in any of the sources available to me. Would be nice if anyone could help and provide transcription for this word (uk). Or render me to a resource where you can check this.
Have you tried googling "Kikcudbright"?
Kirkcudbright - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hi,
Kirkubright is a beautiful little town in Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland, it is pronounced like this:
kərkˈʊəbrɪə
hope this helps!
Most people, including some natives of the town I've met pronounce it as /kə'ku:bri/; some have the first syllable as /kɜ:/. The LPD gives the /kə/ version first, the Campridge EPD gives the /kɜ:/ version first. Wikipedia gives /kərˈkuːbriː/ kirr-koo-bree. All agree that the second syllable is /u:/.
Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.
