Help with the /ŋ/ sound
I am developing a phonetic word list for my students with each sound in the beginning, middle and end of the word. But for the /ŋ/ sound, the one of the words I found was Ink - /ɪŋk/. It seems that /ɪ/ comes in the beginning other than /ŋ/. Is that right? Do you know of any words that start with /ŋ/ in the beginning?
Thanks,
Orella.

There are no natural English words beginning with /ŋ/ .
A better word for /ŋ/ in the middle would be "singer", because that clearly separates the /ŋ/ from the end of the word.
