    Default pronouncing "live"

    Hello,

    This is a silly question but I need an answer from an english speaker because I'm not.

    The word LIVE its sound is "liv"

    but for example in some cases in broadcasting events sounds as "laif"

    Why is the reason of this?

    The verb is /lɪv/; the adjective is /laɪv/

    /laɪf/ is the pronunciation of life
