"Ford" has just one (long) syllable. "Forward" has two and sounds, in BrE, like "four-wood".

Here's a link to the pronunciation website "Forvo" and the pronunciation of "forward". It's an AmE pronunciation but you can hear the two syllables. I can't find an audio pronunciation of "ford" at the moment.

Excuse me Teacher, I have clicked on the last link you suggested (I mean: Oxford). what's the difference between "Bre" and "Name" pronunciation?
Thanks for your answering
