    Default Pronunciation of "have to"

    Pronunciation of "have to"

1, I have to go there alone.
2, This problem may have to do with her childhood memories.

In Sentence 1, "have to" is pronounced like "haf tu": [ v ] at the end of HAVE becomes voiceless.

How do you usually pronounce "have to" in Sentence 2?

If it is "have a lot/something/nothing to do", HAVE will naturally end in voiced V sound, but what if "to" immediately comes after "have" but "have to" is not an auxiliary verb phrase.

Does the pronunciation of "have" in Sentence 2 change, or not?

    Thank you in advance.

The /v/ in sentence 2 may be slightly devoiced by the onset of the /t/ in the following word.
