He sounds like an American trying to sound like a computer. There's not even a tinge of Southern in his voice. I don't find it very pleasant, but it is very clear.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
