Default how to pronunce correctly

I have very serious problem in pronunciation. When I speak in english, my friends tell me it does not sound like english, but other langeous.So I do not know hou to improve it? listening VOA or speak more is the only way? please help me

Although it can be tedious, the only way to improve is to practice, practice, practice! Don't only listen to VOA, repeat what you hear. Are you able to record VOA? If so, play it back one sentence at a time and try to imitate the pronunciation of the speaker.

It takes a lot of hard work, just as it does for a native English speaker to learn to pronounce Mardarin Chinese properly.

And some have ALREADY kicked-off with certain Chinese phrases to get themselves prepared for 2008 Olympics ;)
