It's difficult as I have heard some teachers pronunciating this name like this:''ahab'', others: eihab, and others: eiheib, and others: eiheb

Hi, if you want to know the pronunciation of names, ie from a classic book, try getting the audio book! I also have a dictionary which has a section at the end with the most common names and their pronunciation (Oxford Advanced Learner's) Hope it helps!

This is the pronunciation I have been waiting for because I think [that] it is the right and most British pronunciation of the name Ahab.

Happy New Year!
