Just a a little correction . Armenian belongs to the Indo-European branch and yet its situation is particular : There are two sub-groups two isoglosses within the ID branch : The satem languages an the centum languages. Tongues were categorised upon certain criteria such as consonantic mutations in their evolution.
Armenian belongs to the satem group just like Iranian or Slavonic subbranches.
However, As far as lexicon is concerned, the Indo-European and Altaïc ( largely understood) influences are obvious and the loanwords are many( Persian, Turkish, French , Latin ( in the Renaissance period !!) . No wonder that you can spot several ressemblances.
Finally, your comparative study is quite interesting. It would even be compelling to make comparisons with English or German in the field of tenses and aspects.
