What I know is that our language "Filipino" is closest to the "Spanish" language.
Spanish colonist has stayed in the Philippines for such a long time, 3centuries I believe influenced majority of the Filipino Culture and language, some of them I don't like and others acceptable.

Our numbers are : isa, dalawa, tatlo, apat, lima, anim, pito, walo, syam, sampu ...

also we use: uno, dos, tres, kwatro, singko, sais, syete, otso, nweve, dyes... which I believe is Spanish...

Of course, you can try to find similarities between your language and Spanish. Here we speak about similarities between languages in general too.
