Default How to say "How are you?"

Hi there, I'm a new comer. How's everybody?

I know the intonation of a statement or a question carries different meanings and implications. Can any one please give me a lecture on the proper intonation to say "How are you?" to a friend, to a respected person, to a stranger and to someone I dislike.

Thanks,

mochaichai

If you don't like them, then make the tone fall at the end instead of rising as would be normal for a question. If it's a friend, you can stress the word 'you' to show friendliness, and compress the first two words into 'howa'. If it's a stranger or someone important, articulate the words clearly and rise at the end.
