2) I read that the "s" in "Grosvenor" is not pronounced, woud you please tell me what is this word ?
Apart from "isle, islet, island, aisle" do you know other words where the "s" is not pronounced?

The US state of Illinois is prounounced "ill-uh-NOY." And Arkansas (Bill Clinton's home state) is pronounced "ARK-can-saw." The final "S" in both words is silent. :-)
