As to whether you will have to change - probably not. Whether you will change, that may depend on you. My sister and brother-in-law, both British, went to live in the US some time ago. She sounds very American now, while he has kept his English accent; the only thing that makes his speech American-sounding is the vocabulary (he says, e.g., "cell" rather than mobile phone, etc.).
