Sounds I love
This is from a book:
Laughter in the telephone
The tapping of raindrops on my windowpane
The beating of drums in the bay at night
Footfalls down a long flight of stairs
The giggle of shy school girls
A love song at midnight
The laughter of a baby on a crib
Tinkle of door chimes on a windy day
The frothy fizzle of beer poured into a cold mug
The plop of the cork off a wine bottle
The whispers of "sweet- nothings" of couples at the next
dining table
The soft thud of the freezer door opening at the early
hours of the morning ( My mother's cooking breakfast!)
The sizzle of bacon in a frying pan
A quiet "I'm so sorry"
The sound of waves lapping the beach
The song of men at work
A Christmas Carroll in a cold December
The gentle voice of a father reading a bed time story to
his child
The humming of cicadas
In the heart of the forest, the faraway roar of a small
plane
The screaming of a heavy metal rock band in a crowded
stadium
The hum singing of a mother ironing clothes
The beating of my girlfriends heart
?

Well, I really love the silence of the night too. I think I know the textbook you were talking about.
Who likes the sound of a cat fight?

Re: Sounds I love
Yes, listening to the sound of sea waves is very interesting. I do that when I am lonely. Its like someone is answering your thoughts and it cries with you.

I like the sound of a catfight. I like cats and dogs too.... We used to enjoy the scene with my brother when animals are fighting, it's a free boxing match...

Re: Sounds I love
I donīt like to see fighting dogs, they are too wild and dangerous. I had witnessed that before and they almost bit me. Me and my sister got chased by dogs too. The sounds they made can still make me shiver when I remember it.

Re: Sounds I love
i also don't like sounds of cat fights. i own a Siamese male cat who happens to be the noisiest. Whenever he claims a territory in our street, you can hear his snarl from one end to another. I always come embarrassed as i try to break the fight. Another sound i like is Pachelbel's "Canon". It reminds me of the beauty of wedding.

Re: Sounds I love
The snarl of an angry cat makes me feel that a ghoul [aswang] is nearby.
The sound of laughing children makes me happy.

Re: Sounds I love
sound of fallen leaves blown by the wind.
It's haunting, it's sad, but it's lovely.
P.S
i just found out that my crush for more than 8 years or since high school is now married thus the chosen sound

Re: Sounds I love
I bet what you really love to hear right now is his voice huh?
I associate the sound of falling leaves to the memories of dead people, and the crashing of waves is for the heartbroken. When people are sad they like to hear the whispering sounds, like the passing wind.
