BBC and Starworld

I have been listening to English on Starworld and AXN. Those were big differences between the BBC! When I hear on the BBC channel, although they speak slowly, I can't easily hear as I used to do on Starworld and AXN.
Why?

Diferent countries and regions have different accents, use some different words, etc. You'll get used to the differences if you keep trying.
