Welcome to the forums.

"angle" is pronounced "ang-l".

"angel" is pronounced "ayn-jell".

Which word is it that is giving you trouble?

No - there are two different words. Look at the spellings.

Angle = the space (usually measured in degrees) between two intersecting lines or surfaces at or close to the point where they meet.

angle - Google Image Search

Angel = a spiritual being believed to act as an attendant or messenger of God, conventionally represented as being of human form with wings.

Hi, twin*MD*soul!

No, you are confusing the meaning and pronunciation of 2 different words.

'angle' is spelled a-n-g-l-e. 'The student used a protractor to measure the angle.' "angle" is pronounced "ang-l".

'angel' is spelled a-n-g-e-l. 'The angel lives in heaven.' "angel" is pronounced "ayn-jell".

Cheers,
Amigos4

Glad we could be of help to you, *MD*! We like English very much, too!

I hope you will become a frequent visitor to the forums!

Cheers,
Amigos4

P.S. A friendly reminder: 'alot' is actually spelled as two words: a lot 'I forgot a lot of words.'
