If you have a good dictionary then you will find out how to pronounce the words as the phonetic sounds are provided against each word and an explanation of the sounds from the symbols is usually given at the start of the dictionary.
NB pronunciation, English.

If you don't have a native speaker, available you could learn the international phonetic alphabet for English - learners dictionaries usually write the IPA spelling to help students understand how a word is pronounced.

Alternatively for American pronunciatio try

Pronunciation Page

or for British English

English Pronouncing Dictionary with Instant Sound Free Online

You can type in your word and the listen to it being said.

Hope that helps
