Hi,

I took once a course where in the lab they offered us a software with a microphone that shows you when you pronunce a word how close u r to the correct pronunciation by displaying your sound vibrations and the correct vibrations on a screen. does anyone know the name of this software

I am not aware of any such software. But yes I can provide you with a website that would be very helpful. you just have to punch in the word and then you can hear the pronunciation

You can get a freeware that improves your pronunciation at panopreter.com
this software can read in UK or US English and some other languages, and convert the reading into MP3 files. I think it's really an useful tool.
