Question How to know where is stress word for natural rhythm?

Dear all. Is English is a very rhythmic language? When listening to native speaker say things, we don't need to listen every words to understands, instead of we just heard stress words in the sentence. How to know where are stress words in the sentence? If someone know this rule, please help me. I'm expecting for your reply.Your sincerely

English is not a tonal language like Vietnamese or Chinese, but yes, there are variations of tone that sometimes affect the meaning. This is called "prosody" or "intonation" in linguistics.
You could look here:
powin
Prosody (linguistics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
Sounds of English
Intonation in English
Intonation and Stress - Word Stress and Intonation

Ignore pages that are about poetry - that has different rules from normal speaking.
