Default name pronounciation

Hi all,

We're trying to find out how to pronounce the name Ogilhinn. It's Scottish in background.

Any links where we might find this would be most welcome.

Cheers,

Chris.

Not easy. It is in fact the same name as "Ogilvy".

The spelling is peculiar in that the sound "v" in Gaelic is transcribed as "bh", so it looks as though at some point the name lost a "b" and should be spelled Ogilbhinn

Try this for phonetics: Scottish Gaelic language, alphabet and pronunciation
